Streatham’s many pets are well served by local businesses, and to kick off my monthly column, here’s some essential info about some of Streatham’s most popular.

Vale Veterinary Clinic, Streatham Vale est. 26 years, with head vet David Salisbury-Jones, and Nurses Paul and Tracy there from the beginning. Their philosophy is ‘prevention is better than cure’ so they offer a discount scheme and in-house insurance. David also started the South London Emergency Veterinary Centre to provide an out of hours service, which has evolved into a co-operative of 21 vets, open 6pm-9am Mon-Fri and 1200 Sat-9am Mon.

Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery Streatham Hill is open seven days a week and is a Tier 2 Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Accredited facility. The practice also offers puppy socialisation classes.
