STREATHAM PLANTS AND GARDENS OCTOBER 2014

The two star flowers for late October/November have to be Nerines - vibrant pink lily’s which glow in the low light, and sedum which is very drought tolerant and has been waiting to put colour on since the early spring and is now showing off. Around the streets Boston ivy and Virginia creeper have put on a great blood red display in the autumn sunshine cascading over fences and walls. Another change of season brings anticipation of all winter flowers waiting to bloom most of them have already started showing promise.
