Iconic Streatham Tate Library to Re-Open after Restoration

On the 26th March, the beloved Streatham Tate Library, bequeathed by Sir Henry Tate, sugar philanthropist and Streatham resident, re-opens.

Thanks to the efforts of The Friends of Streatham Library Group, the building has been renovated and refurbished at a cost of £ 1.4 million using funds from the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund and Lambeth Council’s Cooperative Libraries Capital Investment Fund.
