St Leonards Church

Streatham's most historic building, St. Leonard's church,  will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of its rebirth after a devastating fire in 1975 with an Open Day on Saturday 30th May 2015.

A rolling programme of tours between 11am and 4pm will allow people to explore parts of the church not normally open to the public, such as the crypt and the bell tower.

Relics dating back to the mid-1300s will be on display, including the 14th century effigy of Sir John Ward, the Elslefeld Brass of 1390 and some magnificent monuments originating from the Tudor period onwards.
