Guided Tours of Henry Tate Gardens

An opportunity to hear about the history of the site, view the Grade II* listed mansion (exterior only) and explore the historic garden with its Grade II listed garden features. The house, called Park Hill, was built in 1829 by the Leaf family and lived in by Henry Tate from 1880 where he opened the first Tate Gallery. From 1923 it was St Michael’s Convent, a care home until 1996 when it was converted into private housing.
