Mairi Campbell at Croydon Folk Club Monday 11th February, 8:15

Mairi Campbell is a pioneering figure in Scottish music. Her musical interests are wide-ranging, from playing Scottish dance music to pushing the boundaries of the traditional music scene with her soundings and improvisations. As a solo performer Mairi blends viola, voice and keyboard skills with a range of music that goes from traditional ballads to her unique soundings often with audience participation. Mairi is a great interpreter of J.S Bach and she often plays unaccompanied Bach in her concerts.
