Bone Broth: The Secret Super Food

There's nothing quite like curling up with a piping hot bowl of soup on a fresh autumn day, and when good bone broth is used as its base any soup becomes nothing short of a superfood. It has so much good stuff in it, collagen, gelatine, essential amino acids, healthy fats, and minerals.
This superfood is without doubt one of the best ways of enhancing your skin, and what's more, it’s incredibly cheap to make. Many butchers are happy to give bones away or charge you just pennies for a bag of them. They should always, always be organic though!
Bone broth is also renowned for strengthening your immune system, reducing chronic low grade inflammation, promoting overall healing, improving your muscular skeletal health, and enhancing your liver and cardiovascular systems
Brewing up a pot of broth will take several hours, but apart from topping your pan up from time to time, it can go on in the background while you get on with your day. Adding a little apple cider vinegar ensures you get the very best out of the bones as it helps extract calcium and minerals. 2Kg of chopped organic bones from a grass fed cows or sheep
1 tbs Organic Apple cider vinegar
6 bay leaves
1tbs or black peppercorns
Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil and then simmer for at least 6 hours. Once cooked, use immediately or freeze.
